Clinical Significance IgE concentrations are increased with allergies (atopic disease), asthma, parasitic infections, unusual monoclonal gammopathies, and severe atopic dermatitis. IgE concentrations can be within the reference range with atopic disease. Individuals with low or low-normal concentrations typically do not have atopic disease.
