Methodology CLIA

Clinical Significance This assay should be used to monitor patients taking vitamin D supplements as well as to diagnose Vitamin D deficiency. The measurement of 25-OH Vitamin D is the best indicator of Vitamin D status in the body. This assay employs chemiluminescence and measures the total of 25-OH D2 (the analog form used to treat 25-OH D3 deficiency) and 25-OH D3( the endogenous form of the vitamin).
