B-Type Natriuretic Peptide (BNP)

Preferred Specimen(s) 1 mL plasma from an EDTA (Lavender Top) tube. Collect specimen in a plastic Lavender Top tube.

Instruction Mix thoroughly by inversion. Centrifuge and separate the plasma from the cells within one hour of collection. Transfer the plasma to a plastic vial using a plastic transfer pipette. Freeze specimen immediately for storage and transport.
